Hi All,

I have the KMTronic 24Cxx, 93Cxx and 25xxx Serial E-eprom programmer on order and am wanting to acquire some knowledge and do some reading on using it with a std test clip assembly from MCMall -

I am expecting to use PonyProg with the device. So can someone advise how novice can get up to speed sufficient to setup and copy memory from existing LC46 and write same data to another, also to view and record the copied program data and have the ability to modify it? Is there a suitable post or weblink I could use, or is the details on use of PonyProg sufficient for novice to learn and use on device like LC46?

cheers

cheers,

I have my serial programmer now and attached it to the C93BC46 with clip and leads. PonyProg then setup to device 8bit 93XX and states it reads but device memory is all F's i.e. empty? so I read 5 more chips of same type 93LC46 and also one rotated pinout TSSOP 93XX device (I changed the pinout leads to suit via soldered wires) and again the memory read is all F's.

The TSSOP chip was a new chip (printer ink cart chip). So how can all my chips read empty?

I have serious doubts the new chip should also be empty and I paid special attention on the rotated pinout conections and checked every one several times for continuity. Yet again and again all the chips read as appears proper in PonyProg but empty - just full of F's!

Can someone please help me?

cheers ;-)
