How to program an ATTINY2313 with ponyprog?

I am trying to program it in 'AVR auto' mode and get "Device missing or unknown device -24" error. What I must change to program an ATTINY2313 device?

can you write/read another microcontrollers ?
error -24 - maybee your ponyprog don't work at all, or 2313 is bad.

Thats all right for now. I just program fuses for work with external oscillator, but forget to solder it. =)
