Hi micro,
I have compared the datasheets from 24AA256 and 24C256 (supported by PonyProg2000). It seems that both of the devices uses the same communication protocol so I think it would be possible to read/write the 24AA256 eeprom using PonyProg2000 connected via I2C Bus eeprom adapter.
