Prgramming the 24LC1025

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me to understand how to program a 24LC1025 I2C eeprom 128K x 8 (1024K bit). I can program "half" of it by selecting 24512 from the device menu in pronyprog2000, but I cannot program "all" of this newer, higher capacity 1024K device.

I have seen other posts which refer to a workaround method by modifying parameters within the .ini file to simulate two 512K devices. But my ponyprog2000.ini file only contains the following variables:

PowerUpDelay=200
LanguageCode=Default
SoundEnabled=YES
ClearBufferBeforeLoad=YES
MDAWriteDelay=0

and I cannot find any details on what to change and the steps to take.

Can anyone please assist me?

Kind regards,
Ralph Parkhurst,

I assume from the silence that perhaps it cannot be done. Just in case anyone else needs to program the 24xx1025 eeproms I have since discovered that Pic Kit 2 from Microchip does support it.

I compiled a modified version of 2.08b that supports the 24LC1025. I was able to get it working by enabling the block select bit (B0) when the read/write address is above 0xFFFF. It's listed as 241024 in the menu right beneath the 24512.

Oops, I forgot to mention that was a compiled binary for Windows.

Here are the source files that I modified: http://goo.gl/TJnh8
