I am new to this, so please excuse me if this is a noob question. I am using a usb to serial converter. with the usb connections on my laptop, it would only go from COM 5 to 7, but I went in device manager and changed it to com 2. In the settings within ponyprog, I was not able to select the com port. The buttons are disabled! Any one got any ideas?

I am using this on vista 64 bit, after the program was extracted on another computer. I also got two files from a earlier windows 64 bit related post that was here.

I strongly doubt that any usb-serial converter would work with ponyprog. Get some old machine with traditional COM port from junkyard...
