Hello sir

I am Pavan from India doing my electronics and instrumentation engineering final year.I am currently doing my final year project in which i need to use the AVR serial programmer.Rather than copying the circuit i would like to know how to make a serial programmer.I would like to know how to choose the diodes transistors resistors etc component values in the programmer design.Waiting for a positive reply.I will be very thankful to you if you could let me know how to design the circuit.
